Feeding Help Please

One of my new guys eats and then spits it out. He does this at least ten times before really swallowing. Is something wrong with the food? Does he not like it? Or he is just playing with it?

What food are you feeding him? Sometimes the food is too big for him to swallow it whole. So he "bites" the food before swallowing it. You can try to tear it up and feed it smaller pieces.

Agreed with Love. My betta does this as well. I try to crumble the flakes small enough, or split the blood worms into smaller peices as well, but sometimes theres just no avoiding it, it seems. I don't believe theres anything wrong with this process though that you should be worried about. Like Love said, just try to get the food into small enough peices. Hope this helps until a more experience reply comes forward! =)
