Plant lighting

Okay so I have a few live plants in my tank and I was wondering I have a light that's Kelvin: 50/50 CF Lamp (Half Blue/Half 10K) it's made for coral... Well most of the plants I have seem to need light that's like 5,000 to 7,000 K so I was wondering if my light will be too much? I'm not really sure how this whole light thing works so if someone with more knowledge than myself would help it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

It is pretty confusing IMO. Someone on the TFK forum gave me this link earlier, I think I understand it a little bit better but not enough to explain it to someone else lol
