If you're treating a fish with melafix, I would isolate it in a hospital tank. Cories are very sensitive scaleless catfish--as with most medications, it's recommended that you only use half the normal dose at a time, but if you can possibly avoid exposing your cories to melafix by isolating the betta, I would do that. I have heard that people treating scaleless catfish with melafix notice that their fish look dazed and lethargic--and that can't really be a good sign.
