Feeding O__O

So I added a betta to my 10 gallon and I am slightly confused on what to feed him. I have HIkari Betta Bio-Gold pellets but they seem so small, they say "baby pellet", how many of these should I feed?

I also have 4 tetras and 3 cories. I feed the tetras sinking veg/meat pellets and they eat them fairly quickly, while the betta gets his hikari pellets from the top, and the cories have sinking shrimp pellets I give them 1-2 daily, but sometimes my betta will eat little pieces of their shrimp pellets off the bottom of the tank.

Note, these shrimp pellets swell up and tend to fall to pieces (bottom feeder food) is it bad that he eats the shrimp pellets too?

I feed the shrimp pellets in the morning, and tetra/betta stuff at night.

Sounds like you're feeding your fish appropriately. There's not a lot you can do to keep your betta from eating the shrimp pellets. I mean, they're not harmful and pigs gonna pig.

Also, you can feed your betta once or twice a day, 2-3 pellets per serving. It's entirely up to you. Just know that a betta's stomach is about the size of their eyeball and overfeeding may cause constipation and / or bloating.

Yeah about 4 of these pellets is the size of his eyeball, so maybe I'll feed 2-3 in the morning (tetras sometimes steal one) and 2-3 at night.

How do you know if your betta isn't getting enough food?

It becomes lethargic. And dies.

Bettas loose weight just like any animal. You can easily tell a skinny betta because their heads stick out weirdly. A betta should be shaped sort of like a very skinny triangle when viewed from the top.
