Speaking of resting, I have this 'betta leaf' I bought from the petstore when I first got riddle. I wasn't sure if anyone else had this? Its simply a smooth rubber like material shaped in a leaf with a suction cup on the end. You attatch it to the glass near the top of the tank and hopefully they'll like laying on it? I placed it in for the first few weeks and saw no results. Then again, it told me to feed him 'over' the leaf so to show him it was there...

yeah there is a thread about those on here. It's supported by a piece of metal that is not sealed. Seems that other people were highly disappointed with it and felt that it endangered their fish.

Once I found Pickle sleeping one one of my wide-leafed plants near the surface of the tank.
I totally thought he was dead,
but It turns out they do that all the time in the wild XD

I have a fish that will sleep under indian almond leaves that have fallen to the bottom of the tank, I freak out when I turn on the light's. Im like where is he, and then he come's out from under the leaf.
Then this other betta will sleep on a java fern leaf. I will walk in and he is just laying on the leaf. They sleep alright....

That's EXACTLY how Darcy sleeps! Perched right up on his thermometer, close to the surface so he can breathe air when he wants. It's terribly cute.

Ahh, creepy eye glow! *shudders*

At least your fish doesn't have RED glowing eyes... Now that gets creepy. If Cameron is in the right light his cornea will glow red. Found that out the first night he was home... Demon fish. lol

my betta wedges himself into and plant, and when i turn on the light he wiggles out and starts swimming around angrily with his gills flaring.

Duke sleeps perched on a java moss ball. He gets mad when it rolls on him. Lol.
