Yesterday I just got alerted. My "Email Team" has given me an update notice to their new thingy. Or app, i don't really know. But after the first reading I was just like "bleh, who needs an app. My computer's already full of junk. And I only read emails if its something really important."
This is what it said in my email.
Outlook Email Team, (?????@outlook.com)
You have been inactive for a few weeks. To keep you're email address active and get 5+gb of cloud storage for free. Click the update button below!
Woah woah woah. Before you simply even CLICK on that thing. Read it again.
(Note: the ?????@outlook.com is simply put to ????? because I do not want to show his identity or cause any trouble.)
So you see here. If you hover you're mouse over the button and wait. It will show you a URL. It leads to a virus downloader, it will state a URL like tinyurl or something worse. And after clicking that hell button, there is no going back.
I might have just saved someone's computer from getting infected. But not all of you have been sent this email. I will like to thank you for generously reading this, thus for not getting yourself a computer that's slow as hell after being infected.
And also, that 5+gb of cloud storage for free: too good to be true
