Don't mind me - just whining.
I have to take General Ecology for my major. If I had a choice, I wouldn't take it. HATE the class, HATE everything about it. I thought it was mildly interesting at first, but now I find it irritating. I want hands-on experience with animals. I don't want to spend three hours sitting in the rain counting stupid plants and marking them down in a little yellow notebook. No. This past Monday, we caught a lot of bugs and had to euthanize them. Then we had to sort through hundreds of seeds to collect maybe twenty bugs? Is it really worth euthanizing them just to look at them under the microscope and identify the type of bugs they were?
Not just the labs - the lectures are a pain. 50 minutes - not bad at all, right? It wouldn't be if we had an actual lecture and didn't just talk about the group questions. On that note - we're assigned these stupid group questions and we have to discuss them and submit them 48 hours before the class begins. Um, what? Then we spend 45 minutes of the class discussing the answers and voting on the best. Errr, what? I don't want to look at the same stupid graph over and over again and speak up about whether or not it's an accurate representation of whatever the question was.
Hate that class. I'm done.
