I'd get to see Hugh Jackman's one-man show. Y'all know how I feel about Hugh Jackman. Why am I so freaked out? -__-' Oh. I know. It's the cats. I've never left a couple of them for longer than 12 hours before. Dang, I really am a crazy cat lady. >.<
Yes you can. :) I would totally come with you if I could too! Lol! Hugh Jackman and all hehe!
But seriously Sakura, ho long can you be scared. There's an entire world out there! There's Hugh Jackman!! I think if you can overcome your anxiety this one time to do something you really want to do, you wont be as anxious the next time you have to do something. You won't know till you try. :)
Thanks, Fighter. I really needed your pep talk. *deep breath* For Hugh Jackman! And uh, to visit my brother too, I guess since he's in NYC also . . . guess I should see him while I'm there. *goes off to buy tickets*
My roommate and I have a betta fish in a 2.5 gallon tank in our dorm room on the table in the main room, and today her mom came up to get her brother and we all went and got a number of 5 gallon water jugs refilled since the water up here isn't the best. Her mom put a jug on the table, not too gently, and we (Jen, Michael, and I) told her to be careful of the fish because the jug was really close to his tank, and she said "Why? Its not like its an animal." Her reasoning for this statement is that it isn't like a dog or cat so it must not be an animal. I hate when people don't care about fish because they aren't running around the house getting in your way! GIRRR!
^^ I had something similar. One of my rats was really, really sick, and I was telling my supervisor how I'd probably spnt about $1000AUD on vet bills this year (when one gets sick, the others tend to follow). She said, "Why don't you just get a new one?" I couldn't make her understand that's like saying to a dog owner, "Why not just get a new dog?" when it gets sick. They are the most affectionate, sweet, intelligent little creatures, but whether because they are small, cheap or simply undervalued, people just don't think of them as actual pets. People certainly don't realise the incredible value they have to their owners.
She has a similar attitude to her fish (3 black moores in a 40-ish litre tank with no filter, that she cleans maybe 4 times a year).
