Eh, you probably wouldn't agree with their stance on pets in general. :) They hope for a world where domestic dogs are extinct. Honestly, most large organizations(PETA, HSUS) are too big to even do anything other than cause a ruckus. You've heard the whole deal that the HSUS only gives less than one percent of a donation to rescues(or any animal care in general), which amounts to one dollar out of the 10 a month? That sort of stuff just happens with big organizations related to people, cancer, animals, research etc. They get too big to support their cause and start losing focus.
In general I only support small local groups. One group can't take on a nation, but one group can change a single meat factory, one group can work all their efforts into helping a single species, one group can support a single hospital. I like to help those groups, they give the most money to those causes anyway. :) When I buy meat, it's local, farm raised, and humane. I support no-kill animal shelters. I'll donate directly to a cause instead of through another group donating to other groups.
PETA would consider me committing animal cruelty. I have a betta in a 5 gallon tank. I OWN reptiles. Many of them! You should see their stance on that. Just having one=evil.
