Rant: My first winter with my babies and I'm already terrified. Amerigo's in my one gallon and his water temp dropped to 72. D: He seemed fine, swimming around and such, but I upped the temp to 76 using a 50% water change. Just waiting to acclimate him.
Casper, in the 3.5 gallon, is in the 73-74 range. Again, no sign of illness for him, but due to me having school tomorrow, I can't give him a 50% change or even a 40% :/
I really hate not having money because it's bill week this week and most of me and Boyfriend's checks is going to it, so I can't get heaters. I hate having to wait till next week, but I'm already stretching the line getting Amerigo a proper tank.

Find the warmest place in your house, heck, jimmy rig a stand to put them over the top of a heater if ya have to. lol. it still amazes me what you can come up with on limited resources if you're pushed enough. i mean, who knew old books made great stands to hold up a tank with? (temporarily of course!)

Well I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend! Cleaning my apartment carpets!
My poor kitty, Rachel, was sick this morning. She proceeded to walk around my entire apartment and vomit everywhere she could find. All on the carpet or on my clothes, luggage, Christmas tree skirt though - not on the hard surfaces that are easy to clean of course. I already have a nail polish stain that I need to clean so i'm going to have to get a lot of supplies including a Rug Doctor rental. Fun huh?

Yah I gave her some dental chews I found at the store. They're like treats but help with their teeth too. I dont know if I gave her too many or if they were a bad batch or if maybe it was her water bowl but within 20 minutes of her eating the treats she was sick. Needless to say I threw the rest of the treats out and also gave her a fresh water bowl in case it was that. She has one of those filtered fountain type bowls and there were some nasties in the water when I tossed it in the sink.

I managed to get a beast of a pimple on my cheek today...tried to pop it, made it worse. Now its a huge, bright red, inflammed, glaring lump just in time for my mates 21st party tomorrow...argh WHY!?
