This was something discussed earlier on this thread, but I thought you guys might like to know: hospice is available to every child who is on a feeding tube. That is a form of euthanasia; hospice will provide what's needed for comfort until the child passes.

This may get me some rocks, but that's how my neice died. She was so incredibly brain damaged and in so much pain from neural storms that occur in a damaged brain that she couldn't continue, and her parents knew that. There was no quality of life for her, even at four months old. So they took her off the feeding tube.

This is a very rare occurrance, not because it isn't available, but because most parents can't let go of little babies, regardless of how damaged they might be. I can understand that, even though rationally it isn't good. I was completely behind my brother and SIL's decision, but it sucked. It would have sucked either way. But anyway, it is available. No sensible doctor will deny a hospice request for a baby/child if it's apparent that they will have very little or no quality of life.

I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't do SOMETHING like this with wild animals. I also need to prove to myself I can do this. No matter how long it takes. I have always settled in life and I will NOT settle in this matter.

Art History: This appeals to my fantasies of the old world and artistic nature, but when I listen I hear only bold, but soft music and feel only a pitter patter of the heart. I would regret it for the rest of my life if I pursued this, and after so long ditched the other one.

(^^ I know the above sounds silly, but it is the only way I know how to describe it :P)

I do want to have a 2nd minor in Art History though. The 1st would be a semester long program at a sister zoo to the National zoo that does all their breeding and a lot more conservation stuff there.

Anyways, back on topic for me. A new rant is that I don't have enough frames for some of the photos from the portrait sitting and I also dunno which ones I want to put in the frames to hang up. I also don't want my walls to have every single pic from the sitting, that would be boring, but the BF and I have so few pics together, so there is not much variety :/.
Don't settle. Do what you are passionate about. That's what I am doing. I have dreamed of a degree in business since I was14. That's what I am doing now. Ha, this morning I messed with my husband when he got off work. He hates when people drop out of any type of school around graduation. I have ten weeks left and this morning I told him I was quitting joking of course. He handed me my economic book and said "no your not get cracking". After I get started at a job he wants to get a degree in electricity. he wants to be an electrician.

Rant-i hate when people want me to research stories for their family history and they think I'm wrong or dont want to know the whole story even though I give them paperwork to back up my research. If you can't face the truth don't ask for it.

You are right. I just looked up the definition of euthanasia in the. Dictionary and the definition is exactly what you are saying. Great info, thanks.

Got written up today. Seriously HATE my job. I don't get paid enough to be treated like crap let alone yelled at by hypocritical fools who don't care about their associates whatsoever.

All else fails I take up pet and/or child sitting. Take the courses, start it up, make it affordable for REAL people, and tah dah. Plus makes great experience for when I have kids of my own.

I would choose pet sitting over child care. Mainly because some people want to know too much about your personal history before letting you watch your kids. I understand doing a background check to make sure your children aren't being watched by a serial axe murderer...but some people need you to be too perfect. I think some people would cross me off their list because I have a drink a a few times a month because I like cocktails or wine with meals (or sake if I'm eating Japanese food).

Believe me, I know parents want a responsible person who is a good role model to be the one in charge of their kid(s). But some people are unrealistic.

Agreed. And with pets I am not afraid of anything. I won't deal with anything poisonous, though. I can deal with snakes, iguanas (friendly ones), crested geckos... Mice, gerbils, birds, etc. Which you can barely find these days.

Yeah, once something is poisonous you need the buddy system to handle it properly and as safely as possible. I have nothing against snakes, spiders, and the like, but since I live alone I wouldn't want to own or watch anything poisonous. : /

It figures that it's the most colorful and pretty animals that are the most deadly. XD

Started economics this week and already have two papers due by Monday. I am just learning the study of economic and were jumping right into papers. Should be a nice little headache.
