I have a 3 page paper due tomorrow at 5pm and I haven't done at thing for it yet! Also, my sister gets to go to the new Harry Potter movie midnight premiere and I don't!

so I have decided too stay in va to finish community college before university (yay) but that is only because the comm. college in MD sucks! I went to talk with the counselor and my credits transfer from VA to MD but my GPA DOESN'T! well 5 yrs ago I didnt care about college and did poorly and because of that quit college and took a break till I became mature and cared enough to do well. WELL 5 yrs ago I did so poorly my GPA was a 1.65. to date in the VA college my GPA is a 3.903. So since my credits but not my grades transfer, I am on academic restriction and to get my GPA up to a 3.0 (no where NEAR my GPA in VA) I need to retake my PSYCH and BIO classes. well I have already taken both in MD college (did terribly) and took both in VA college (aced them) and I have to take it a THIRD time JUST to get my grade up to a 3.0 which is no where NEAR a 3.903 that I have NOW?? I am basically screwing myself over if I go back to MD to that college. At least here I can continue to do well and have a continuously nice GPA.

grrrr...

yup, that's exactly right. VA college even took my good grades (only like one B and a pass in a pass/fail class) for my transcript there and left out the other stuff. I don't understand why MD college's policy is like that. To students that did bad prior, it affects them poorly, to students who did better, I guess they have credits toward their degree so they dont have to take as many classes, but that is like the ONLY benefit.

Man that sucks TPF. :[ I'm sorry. I'm glad you're doing so well though! >u< My GPA is like a 2.8. :[ I haven't been doing to hot in my classes. I'm trying to pull an A out of them.

I think I'm gonna ditch my friends this weekend (though I feel guilty about it) so that I can focus on my work. :/ I'm working out at 5 with them and a play tonight but that's seriously IT. NO MORE. NOT ME.

I hate being anti-social after I just made all these friends and being inactive and all but I've spread myself too far and I'm doing too much! >n< I think I'm gonna tell my friends I need a break till next semester so I don't fail out.

If I get a C my parents are pulling me out of school. :[ So yeah. Gotta do it to it. XD

I wish I was more like m best friend. :[ She's like SUPER active and she aces EVERYTHING!!! She's so hard working and on top of everything! It really is amazing! D:

Well......Time to get back to the 3 page paper that I'm STILL AVOIDING LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Anti-rant: Had a Vegan Thanksgiving celebration today. =] Also went to dinner with my roommate and her friends! =] It was super fun! =]

I feel very similarly regarding being social. for me though if i moved back home I could focus more on school than a job so I stay afloat.

I know people like this. I always wonder how they do everything and make it look so easy!

I have a situation with credits but not grades transferring, but it's a little different. At my previous university, I had an extremely good GPA. I thought the entire time that I had built up a great safety cushion in case I had a bad semester or something. Well, it turns out that my previous grades do not affect my GPA. And this semester, now that my grades do count permanently, I'm struggling. I got a very good scholarship this year, but to keep it I have to have a high GPA. If I'd gotten to keep my old GPA, it would be no problem, but now keeping it depends entirely on this semester, which is supposed to be the hardest one.

It's been a rough week as far as classes go, and I really need a break. I have one next week, but I have so much studying to do during it.
