Rant: Alright, so you have a tiny little tank. Less than a gallon. No heater, obviously no filter, no nothing. Your last fish in there has died, by your own admission, because you didn't keep up with water changes. You then get butthurt when people tell you not to get another fish if you can't provide for it properly, because you just lost "one of your best friends." Ugh, where's the logic in that? It's just selfish.

Who is this person? Maybe they just listened to the pet store "expert" about it? :C

It's a member on here. They have one of those wall-mounted fish bowls that only hold .5 gallons or so, maybe less. Of course, this is excused because they can't get anything bigger, because there's a hole in the wall where they nailed it in there. Ever heard of spackle? :P The obvious solution is if you can't take care of a fish, don't get a fish.

IDK. I don't really care. It just annoys me that their skull is so thick that they can't comprehend simple logic. I wish that everyone would go back to saying 2.5 gallons is the bare minimum. 1 gallon is doable, but so much more work and will probably stress the fish out from frequent water changes.

All we can do is try to tell them the best care for something they decide to be responsible for/take a living things life in their hands.

I completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately, it's out of our control. Grrrrrr!!!

I looked up the bowl; apparently it's almost 1 gallon. Still... That, and the member is obviously still school-aged. What's going to happen when school starts up again and they have homework?

Well, for summer they might be able to get away with no heater, depending on how hot their house is. Definitely not winter, though.
