Thank you! I just got the Marineland Visi today. I was wondering is it supposed to turn on and off by itself? Sometimes I see the light on sometimes I see it off. I think that's how it's supposed to be or is it broken?

that sounds right, just make sure you have a thermometer to monitor it as well.

Yes, that is how it is supposed to work. When the light is on it's heating. Once it reaches the temp you set it to, it (and the light) go off till it needs to turn itself back on again to maintain the temperature.
