Exclamation Mold Growing on Silk Plants!?

So after having cleaned my 10g tank the other day, I realized black spots growing on all my silk plants. I can only assume that this is mold, but I have no idea how this happened, or how to prevent it, or what measures to take since it appeared!

If someone could please guide me on this issue! =(

If I remember correctly, someone on here said to rinse it with hot water and leave it out in the sun...not sure though...that might of been with something else. o.O

That happened to me a few months ago. I tried hot water and that didn't work. I ended up soaking the plant in diluted bleach (1:9 with water) for 10 minutes and rinsed it really well then let it air dry. The spots came right out and haven't returned.

Yea, sorry, I guess I should have known better then to not post a pic along with this topic >:( Ok here are the pictures. I just took them out today, and my wife realized that she was able to rub it off? For now, until advised farther, I'll be rinsing these in very hot water and rubbing it off.

Yes, rinse plants daily with very hot water with the rubbing.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to try the bleach thing that SmokeNLark did ;)
