I love reading! Especially books on adventure. I always end up pretending I am in the stories, haha
Well, usually.
Books are usually better than movies to me because you use your imagination.
I like drawing characters from books I read too.
Anyway,
some books that I like:
JRR Tolkein
InkHeart, InkSpell, and InkDeath (even though I have not read the last one yet!) and the theif lord
Robin Mckinley's books (I love the retelling of beauty and the beast! But the only one I like of the two is Beauty.)
Donita K. Paul
The Hunger Games
Frank E. Peretti's This present darkness and Piercing the Darkness (haven't finished.)
The looking glass wars (book 1 so far.)
Fairest by Gail Carson Levine

I love fantasy books. these are my favorites as of now:
- The Riftwar Cycle by Raymond E. Feist: It's pretty long (about 9 huge books) but it's amazing! wars between worlds, magic, demons, dragons, angry gods, you got it all! The main character is a magician and thats just awesome :P

- Eragon: I love dragons

- His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman

- The Inkheart trilogy

Pretty much anything by Michael Crichton. He's the guy who wrote Jurassic Park and the Lost World. Nearly all his books are awesome. He's more science fiction though.

This topic is SO up my alley!
I'm a girl who never leaves home without her Kindle!
I'm currently reading The Immortals series by Alyson Noel and I too love Hunger Games!!

Among my favorite series:

Twilight (sorry, I have to admit it)
Dark-Hunters by Sherrilyn kenyon
The Carpatians by Christine Feehan
Argeneau Vampires by Lynsay Sands
The Others by Christine Warren
Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
Love at Stake by Kerrelyn Sparks
Psy-Changelins by Nalini Singh
Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward
House of Night by PC & Kristin Cast
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter

Stand-alone books:

A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb
The Host

Yeah, I'm a paranormal kind of girl. The series above I follow religiously and never miss a book!
I have a longer list of read books and series that don't really stand out to me but I follow anyway, just don't die if I miss a book, you know?

Vil.. don't worry I'm with you on Twilight I didn't list it because I was more going for the books I like because of how they are written. Twilight is my guilty pleasure.
