^ But still off-topic.

I think the weirdest thing that happens at my job is that we receive dead insect samples in the mail occasionally -- they get examined to determine what killed them to gauge forest health or some such.

I have never had a job but my auntie is a teacher so I used to volunteer at my local primary school back when I was about 18-19 to help her out at the end of term.

Anyway, she got me helping the kids with their, reading, art, english and ICT,etc which was fine and everything was going great until I had to help them with maths, I have number dyslexia so when the kids were coming to me to ask for help or mark their work I was discreetly using my fingers under the table to work out the answers and make sure I werenít marking them wrong. I donít think I need to mention that I never went back after that, especially as the kids were between.............. 5 and 6

I want to smack a lot of people. Every day. My hours are great though. I don't have to go in until like 11 so I can stay up late. Which is why I'm always on late.

The pay is AMAZING, espicialy here in Detroit for lawyers, so I have plenty of cash for my pets.

I bet you don't stay up as late as I do tho (4am sometimes). No job for me (unless you count feding the cat and cleaning out his litterbox) Just lots of home work (sigh) and getting up at the crack of dawn to go to school. (yay?)

These two things happened during the same job interview ~10yrs ago:

I was waiting in a small lobby outside my interviewer's office for my job interview to take place. She was a professor and was chatting on the phone. She apparently didn't realize I had arrived and was sitting just outside her doorway. She proceeded to make fun of my name (I have a very unflattering first name) and have a good laugh of what I must look like to have a name like that. Nice.

After the interview she took me out to dinner to discuss the job more informally. She promptly got herself drunk on wine and burst into tears at the dinner table about how her best-friend-who's-a-guy won't date her for fear of "ruining the friendship." Next!
