Introducing the blue eyed winged fireball of a fish- Ray!

So I was at petco the other day looking for a new betta for my two gallon little tank at work- when I found RAY!!! After staring at the betta rack for a good 30 minutes I happened to look behind another cup and see this little orange gem. As soon as I really started checking him out I noticed his SUPER LONG pectoral fins!. He has a pretty bad case off fin rot but I am so glad I found him. He has the most adorable face and blue eyes and he looks like he is flying around the tank with his little wings. I know his fins are a deformity but I donít think it affects his swimming much. I love to watch him swim around with his crazy little arms waving at me (like he wants a hug!). He is my first veil tail male, and now I am hooked on veil tails. Here are a couple of pics I took with my phone

He's beautiful! I like the color and those fins.
Another member here, Doggyhog also has a betta with pectoral fins like that.

thats awesome looking! lol it does look like hes waving at you. I wonder if that is just some kind of random fluke, or if it is genetic?

I cant seem to find anything on the internet about mutant pectoral fins. His crazy fins really add to his amazing personality though. He moves different than any betta I have ever seen and I love it. I am not sure but It looks like he has bulging tail muscles on both back sides of his body. He mostly uses his tail for forward propulsion where my other betta’s seem to use their pectoral fins.

Yeah, I have a boy like him too. Unfortunately my boy has bad swim bladder problems. But other wise he's a happy fish!
