Red face sdo you think i should get a male betta or a female betta

Im going to get my first betta soon and i was wondering if i should get a male betta or a female bett. Im not breeding so it doesnt matter if its a female or a male

I would get a male...there's more of a variety of males than females at my LPS. It doesn't really matter I guess.

Get one that you 'click' with! You never know who it'll be.

I expected my first betta to be a male, so I could split my 10 gallon...turns out, I fell in love with a female instead! So I made a sorority.

Yeah i agree that you should choose one that you feel connected too when you see them. Just go to the store and look for ones that catch your eye and narrow them down :]

Look for quality, color and click!

Take your time, I spent an hour looking at them one day.

Of course the problem with finding one betta (male or female) you connect with is that one is never enough ! Then there is the Bettas you TRY and put back on the shelve but it looks at you with those eyes and the next thing u know, lol

I'm going to say the same as everyone else; pick the one you like the most. You might go wanting a male and see a gorgeous female or vice versa.

It won't matter to their personality :)
