How do you get VE's? how do they come like hatching like BBS or in a container?

You have to order a culture. I was selling some before I went back to school but I've gotten rid of most of my cultures.

With VE you get a culture and put it in a jar (I used a gallon sized but you don't really need that big). You put 1/2 apple cider vinegarn (non pasteurized) and 1/2 dechlorinated water and add the culture. You also need to add a food source. I use one small apple cut into quaters.. just throw it in there and let the culture grow. Re-culture about once a month.

A culture is a sample taken from someone's colony (of worms, or whatever food your talking about). It's usually a mixture of the substrate and food with the worms mixed in. You get it and create a new colony by letting the worms reproduce.

You usually have to buy them from someone online unless you can get them locally. Most pet stores don't carry them because they would have to have a colony (also known as a Mother Culture) running at all times.
