How long is too long without food

I am leaving town for a little over 24 hours and don't have anyone to feed my fish, will he be ok?

If you feed 7 days a week every day, some say its good to not feed for one day cause it helps regulate them? Throw a shaved frozen pea in before you leave I heard that is good for them and it takes a while to thaw out and start to break apart.

I don't think that is correct about the pea. Seem to me people advocate thawing/cooking it in the microwave, deshelling & breaking it up into tiny pieces.

Personally, I wouldn't give him anything - he will be super fine for 24 hours without food. Heck, I fast mine every Sunday & my oldest is 2 years old already!!!

BTW, I have never fed pea to any of mine.

A lot of forumers fast their for 24 hours during the week! I do a day and a half/two days myself. They can go a couple of weeks without food, so he'll be fine.

24 hours is a short time, for longer amounts i'd try the dissolving tablets? Anyone support that?
