Adventure of Tank Redo Day c: [Girlfriend's Fish]

Today is the day I get to drag my girlfriend across town and force her to spend more money on her fish c: It's going to be fun.

I absolutely adore her baby Kamau who is pretty much the polar opposite of my darling Commie. Where my boy is pretty docile [playful though] and doesn't even bother to do more then half charge his own reflection her boy is super aggressive always on the prowl and will attack reflections of light.

Because he's so active I really really wanted to get him out of his .5 gal. T.T I would want to get any betta out of that size but I'm concerned for his health even more so because of his behavior.

Look at him being sad and wanting more room. He makes lovely bubble nests daily though =D [That is way too many flakes at once in the 2nd pic T.T oh boy since she refuses to join here it's also teaching day *evil grin*]


I'll keep this post updated on how the progress is going and then the final step for now as well. Lots of pics yay ^^

convince her to get a 2.5g critter keeper! they're cheap and cheerful! an ornament, a nice plant and a heater and ye're sorted with little money and he'll be a VERY happy fish! mine thrived so much in the critter keepers!

Well after a series of life getting in the way >> Kamau finally has a happy little home to himself =D It's a nice little 5 gal with a filter, heater, and some cute little plants and a castle [which was tested to make sure it wouldn't hurt him. It's not spiny as it looks in this pic].

haha cute!! you should put more plants in there, bettas love hiding spots and exploring in a lot of plants.

It's a start mind you. The main goal was to get him out of the small one and into a tank he'd really start to enjoy. More plants will be added when able but the price tag was already nice and hefty for that change alone.

As I'm starting to get more bettas, I'm getting more economical. I'm starting to just use live plants (cheaper in the long run, you can just clip java moss), and using coffee mugs for hiding spots, but all my bettas thrive! :D I looooooooooooove Kritter Keepers.

Live plants seem amazing and I'm thinking about switching myself - eventually once I have everything else down better. c:

This is her first fishie since she was younger and well, make young mistakes, so so far he's enjoying life =D
