Here is my new female, Gemma. Or as I like to call her, Gloria v.2, Their build and personality are so similar!

She'll be moving into the 10 gallon when I move back to Ottawa. I'm sure the boys won't mind giving up a little space for a new 'girlfriend'.

Photos killed her colour! She is really much more purple. No worries about her pectoral fin (you may see that it look quite bad), it's healing up now.

There is something that is telling me Gemma might not be a girl.. she just doesn't have that girly look to her. Her body is very long.. I could be very wrong but she doesn't look like a girl to me.

I agree with DH, she does have a long body. ''She'' also has long ventrals. I think you have a PK boy there!

It's so hard for me to tell sometimes!
'She' was very interested at flaring at the boys when I put her in a cup to clean the tank, but I didn't think much of it since I've seen my females flare before.
