Question Sorority Stuff :P

I have been looking forward to gettinig a sorority tank with 5 bettas. I already have a 10 gallon tank and some hiding places (im going to get more) but i was just wondering what the basic thing that i NEED for the tank. (i dont have much money so i would just like some of the most needed things for a sorority)
Thanks!

I would say the most important thing is the hiding places so they can all get away from eachother. I used a bunch of large rocks from my backyard and did like a "rock wall" which had lots of little crevices they could hide in.

Of course you need a heater. As for filter it's suggested but I really don't use filters in my betta tanks because they get pushed around too much. You could always make a buffer for it though. So you just have a tank and the hood? I would say then heater is your #1 priority...

Your gonna need a heater and filter. With a sorority, they tend to be over stocked, so having a cycled tank is very very important. Check out this article: http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/b...m-cycle-47838/
