How many tries did it take for you to get your first successful spawn?

So how many tries did you take to have your first successful spawn? How many fries were left alive? How old are they now? Also, I'd love to see pics! I failed on my first attempt, but Im still trying hard!

PK are supposed to be one of the harder ones to breed. Not that I know anything about breeding :P

My first spawns were successful on the first try. Unfortunately I didn't follow through on my duties with rearing the fry and I only have 9 left (out of two spawns). They're all very small and probably won't be the prettiest fish when they grow up. Hopefully I'll be able to successfully spawn them and do better with the F2 but if not at least I was able to learn from my mistakes.

Breeding is definitely a learning experience.

I can't count how many of my spawning attempts have failed. Mainly cause even though they were conditioned well, my breeders just wouldn't embrace. I had a pair embrace, but the eggs wouldn't fertilize 2 times! One male ATE the eggs. I used the same breeders again, but this time the girl almost killed my male.

I am still trying to breed, this time I have diffrent breeders, males is a plakat. Plakats are more notorious at breeding because they don't carry the long flowy finnage, thus they move more quickly and usually the female gets more battred up.

The breeders will be here tommorow, im scared wish me luck...
