Now that Deimos is no longer in his own tank, he gets internal parasites (of course).

Is this "contagious"? If so, will adding salt to the water protect the other two (they don't have parasites)?

Deimos is bloated (I would feed him tonight but I wanted to fast him for two days) but now he's pooping white stringy stuff. I assume from reading other posts that this is internal parasites. I'm going to (try to) get him anti-parasitic food early tomorrow (I have my fingers crossed that my LPS has it because I'm not sure my parents want to drive an hour to Petsmart)

I'm going to remove him for treatment tomorrow. Is there anything else I need to do? None of my bettas have ever had parasites before so I don't know what to do!

My LPS doesn't have medicated food, or anything for internal parasites :(

Will salt be an okay treatment?

He isn't pooping any more and he's still constipated. He's still his normal active self though.

Any input is really appreciated!

I'd make the trip to PetSmart. I just went there to get the pellets for my boy, and they had some in stock (thank goodness- a whole lot of running around screaming would have ensued otherwise ;_; )

I think someone told me that there were dissolving tabs that you could use. Let me go check what the name is...
