Filter Baffle

Hello, I am new at owning a beta fish and I have read where people use baffles to ease the flow of water in the tank. I would like to know if it is ok to use the filter the way it is? The Betta I have seems to love it he always swims up to it and loves to fight the current. I was thinking of leaving it this way but wanted to make sure it wasn't going to harm him.

As long as he's not showing distress or tail damage it should be fine. Some bettas enjoy playing in the filter flow.
