I'm trying to fix the hood light on Thai's home because it messed up, but I wanted to know if this is alright to use everyday as an alternative? I keep the light on for 8 hours.
He loves having light in his tank, but I am worried about the bright
light because it's not covered. It wouldn't hurt his eyes would it? He seems fine so far.
Also, he was quite funny with his bloodworms this morning. I put one in his tank and it floated behind the sponge, so he flipped over sideways and wiggled himself over the sponge to try and get it. He ended up getting it when it floated back out, but after that he keeps going back and staring at the sponge, hoping a bloodworm will pop out. I don't have a picture of this, but he also appears to have gold/brown around the outer part of his eyes. It's really cool. Is this common for them?
I have a question though about plastic tanks. Can fish see through them well enough?
I was looking at this one because it's flat on all sides, but I am hesitant in buying it.
Does anyone else use plastic homes succesfully?
It's small here, but I was looking to get the big one for a ghost shrimp. :)
