What's the difference?

Okay, so I was thinking about getting the medium sized pet keeper from petco to replace the 1.5g tank I'm using now. I've heard it holds almost 3 gallons.....

Then I saw a pet keeper for fish, and the medium sized keeper has the same dimensions....but if you click the picture of the medium sized keeper, it shows that it only holds 1.75 gallons.

They have the same dimensions, so what is the deal?

I think the medium sized ones are 2-3 gallon range. The large ones are 3-4 gallons. For only being $3 I would just go for that one.

The mediums at petco and petsmart are around 1 gallon. The large ones are 2.5 and bigger. The large ones are round $10 or $11.

This is where I am confused. Some people are saying the medium is about 2.5g, and some people don't.....

I just bought a medium critter tote at petsmart. it's about 3 gallons. google "quarium gallon calculator". put in the dimensions and it should come up about 3 gallons. that is why i bought the medium one from petsmart.
