Question convinceing your parents to get a sorority tank!

I'm not sure if this thread belongs here but i could find anywhere else so here it goes!

I have my ten gallon all set up and stuff and i really want a sorority of 5 (FEMALE) bettas but i have no idea how to ask my mom because if i do the usual "mom, can i pleeeeeaaaase get a sorority tank with 5 FEMALE bettas? Pleasee!!!!???' she usuaslly freaks and changes the subject!! Grr.. :P Whats do you think is the best way to ask for a sorority tank of 5 bettas in my 10 gallon without her exploding?

I'll tell you what I do with my wife. Do it gradually. Don't do it right away. Start sucking up now. Doing dishes, helping her, telling her you love her, giving her a hug, asking her how her day is. Do that for 3-4 days. Then, explain to her that you have the space, and that a sorority is only one tank, and your ready for the responsibility.

Haha. I just come home with more fish! My mom just glares at me, not like I can get rid of them after I bought them. =]
I'm pretty sure my mom would have told me to stop buying fish if she had known what a pain my 10g sorority would be (I have to find room to keep a girl -who ended up being a male THANKS PETCO- cause she was causing trouble, & had to buy a new girl hoping she made the sorority peaceful again, she did.)
