Starting my VT Line :)

Ok so I picked up a gorgeous multi color cambodian VT. He has a nice spade tail, similar anal fin to the show standard idea, but not that great of a dorsal. I also got a (kinda big) pk female. I heard crossing VT to PK will get you more spades....yay!!

I hope she's not too big for the embrace....but I whats $3 for a smaller girl :P

The spawning will take place on November 1st and so will my HMPK to DT spawn.

I'm eager to see the results of this. VTs need more attention from responsible breeders.

I agree. With a little hard work we can bring back the bettas who are responsible for all our current tail types.

Also I'm hoping to get the VT calss into the show circuit, at least as a New Breeders Class option, they're readily available and easy to breed.

IBC shows. People send in fish to different shows year round. I think some people have been showing VT but there hasn't been much interest.

VTs are the best spawners IMO. They'll breed at slightly lower temps, produce hardy fry, and have the best fathers.

Wow, is surprising how VT are so under rated...Very true, most of my VT spawns have happened in cooler waters, and many more fry turn up..

Also, my VT is just as or more breathtaking than my CT while in flaring. Maybe when VT's are not flaring they can look tired or"turned off" but when in spawn mode they are different breed, so full of life!

Thanks for the info on the IBC show..

Something about that long flowing tail...more breath taking than an HM IMO.
