Cucumber

Ok, so I have 4 mystery snails in my divided ten gallon with my two bettas. I"ve been putting in cucumber for them to eat, usually leaving it in for about 24 hours. Now, my Little Guy has taken to having a weird obsession with the cucumber. Or maybe he just thinks it's a toy? Anyway, is cucumber toxic at all to bettas? (He sometimes nips at it)
Just want to make sure feeding my snails that won't have an effect on Little Guy :) Skittles (the other betta) couldn't care less about the cucumber at all.

I don't know if it's harmful to them, maybe as long as he doesn't actually eat it then it should be okay?

Is there something else you can feed the snails?

Bettas can't digest plant matter well. I think one or two bites won't hurt him, but make sure he's not eating from it regularly.
