Betta obsessed with Guppies?

I put my betta in a one gallon tank when I first got him because he was a bit of a surprise, and without thinking, I placed the tank next to my Fancy Guppie's tank. Well, a few days later, I went to move his tank away from the Guppies, and when I did, he basically had a fit. He would just act angry and not eat at meal time and kept running into the side of the tank. I moved him back the next day and he now eats normally and is very content just starring at the guppies through the glass. Only problem is, that now I have a five gallon tank all set up for him, that I can't put next to the guppies tank because there's not enough space. I was wondering if anyone else has ever dealt with this problem, and how I can keep him happy in his new tank :)

Move him. He'll just have to deal with it. Dont worry, he will eat when he gets hungry enough :P
