Question about bloodworms

I have read that these should only be given as treats, and that it is considered junk food for bettas but I don't get this.
If they love them so much, as long as you aren't overfeeding them and give them other foods, why not give them at least half or a small one once everyday?
I don't see how they could be junk food because the one that I got is about the same as his regular food health wise, though the pellets have more nutrition in them that is recorded.
The blood worms are omega one and the pellets are Aqueon betta food.
The bloodworms have less fat and higher protein than the pellets.

Ingredients for bloodworms:
Min. Crude protein: 55%
Min. Crude fat: 3 & (low)
Max. crude fiber: 5%
Max. moisture: 5%
It is rich in vitamins and minerals and natural pigments for color enhancement. It's freeze dried bloodworms with vitamin e supplement.
It does not contain bacteria or parasites (no risk).

Can someone please explain this to me if i'm missing something?

Thai gets so excited when I get the bloodworms out that he bounces (literally!) around at the top and swims back and forth, waiting for me to drop one in. Then he will swim up to it slowly and pounce on it.

I think most Asian Countries including Thai, feeds frozen bloodworms as their daily meal. I feed them frozen bloodworms as their proper meal too, and yet to have any problems.
