Where Are Your Bettas From?

Hey, just wondering where everyone got their bettas?

I got both of mine from Petsmart.

I hear Aquabid is cool, and their fish are really pretty but I'm only 13 and don't have the money to buy a fish from there. The fish isn't the expensive part, but the shipping is too much.

So maybe I'll try Bettysplendens but still shipping isn't free, but I like a local pet store called V.I.Pets.

Don't know though, maybe I'll ask for a Thai Betta for my Birthday or Christmas, but -sigh- their both a long time away. Hmm I usually get money for good grades too but they weren't the best last year...

Enough of my rambling! Where are they from? :)

Felix and Maisie from Big Al's...
Hattie I ordered from a breeder...
and Norm I rescued from an irresponsible owner off Kijiji.

Well it's in my signature but I will say it anyways(cause I like to chat) I got Carlisle from my uncles wedding reception they had bettas in vases as center pieces. I got Mizu as a rescue from meijer he was in a dirty cracked cup and had awful fin rot(he is the one in my avatar I have before pics in my albums)I got Anardil aka "nar" at my petsmart cause he had awsome colors and he was the betta I did not think about before I bought or had a real reason *laughs to self*(still need to upload pictures of him) I got Diego and my other guy who does not have a name yet at my petco which always has at leat one really nice betta( I have a picture thread of them somewere recently in the picture section) and thats all I have and need at the moment.

What is PJ's Pets and Big Al's?

About the centrepiece thing - that should be illegal under animal cruelty. I did that subject for a 7th grade citizenship class (last year).

Big Al's is a store that focuses ONLY on fish, and, in some places, reptiles. They have EVERYTHING you need :D It's great. Their bettas are high-quality too.
Pj's is just your average, every day pet store..... like Petsmart but the animals are better cared for.

I did not even know they were doing it and I was not even there they had two "leftovers" cause they gave them to the people that came and Carlisle was one of them. My cousin wanted the other one.

I've been to weddings with them, I always feel bad.

This may seem weird but now whenever I got to a wedding I bring a small baggy with a capsule of fruit flies in it now just incase their the centrepieces. :)
