I suppose... They may come with snails though. Give us some pics of the plants and we'll see if we can identify them :)

You mean the aquatic plants in the lake? Keep in mind that some plants and some areas are protected by law, and it's possible you might run into trouble if you're caught removing native plants. Be aware that the plants will be coated with all kinds of nasties that live in the wild--snails, parasites, bacteria, and other microorganisms that may or may not hurt your fish. If it is not illegal to take plants, you could select a few from different areas of the lake and dip them in a bleach or potassium permanganate solution to kill off any hitch-hikers.
