I had the same problem with my female (Lady Gaga) but mine also has a beard when she flares but in all honesty she is the nicest fish that I have, I don't see her that often though because the others have terrorised the poor thing.

I don't know, it's dorsal fin makes me think male, but then again I'm not all that experienced with figuring out the gender of bettas. Note that my male PK was named Tifa to begin with. lol...

If he/she has a smaller beard (than males usually do) and has an ovipositor... female, I'm guessing. The bubblenests don't really matter. I have one or two girls that blow bubblenests.

I'm going to say marble girl of some sort... not sure of tail type.... but since this tail type suggested looks the most fitting for her, I agree with Doggyhog on the HM.

He/she look like a marble delta to me.

About it's gender I want to say female but "it's" fins don't have me convinced. Hard to tell.

look on the bottom of its belly for a little white dot its called an egg spot and some other correct name that i cant pronounce lol

okay well look for this:

i used to think females could not be any other color but a pale red until i seen blues and purples and cothers wow they are just as fantastic as males are!!

your is so hard because its so dark and white at the same time

Also look at these FEMALES she has an egg spot! and she looks like a male too though if she didnt have that,
