How often to clean?

I have my male betta veiltale in a critter keeper. I believe that it is about 2.5 gallons. How often do I need to do partial water changes and full water changes. There is no filter just a heater.

You should probably do 20-30% water changes weekly. And every now and then be sure to take out and clean the plants and decorations (unless they are live). As for full water changes, I don't have much experience on for a tank of your size, so hopefully someone else will post.
