Is this an okay betta diet?

I give my betta fish pellets, and I am going to give them one bloodworm as a treat each day. Also do you guys know some good betta fish food brand? Yesterday I purchased the bettamin flakes but I'm not a big fan of it because the flakes are so small, and secondly the betta spits them out and they go everywhere in the water. I don't know what I'll do with this food, I don't want to waste my 4$ :(

Thumbs up

Greetings, I only give my Betta 1 or 2 blood worms a week, as a treat. I use Hikari Betta Bio-Gold pellets. These were top rated along with HBH, Osi Star, Atisons, and omega one. I suggest pellets, not flakes. Good Luck!!

My bettas' diets alternate between Aqueon's pellets and frozen bloodworms or the other varieties from San Francisco's Freshwater Multi-Pack.

I highly recommend OmegaOne Betta Buffet Pellets (my favorite), Atison's Betta pellets, Ken's betta crumbles, and New Life Spectrum. Freeze dried foods are not very good for your fish--they can cause some of the worst constipation I've ever seen in bettas, so I no longer use them to feed my fish at all. Frozen foods have a higher nutrient content and there significantly less risk of constipation. I use hikari's frozen blood worms, brine shrimp, and daphnia a few times a week.
