Problem or OKAY?

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, but i would have a question:

My Betta fish's tank is all blueish-green (mostly blue) and all dirty. I've tried those fizzy tabs, but those are working!

Any suggestions?????

Thanks, N11N

Blue? I don't know what causes that aside that stuff they put in betta cups at PetSmart. How long have you had your tank? If the water hasn't been changed in over a week you might want to do a 100% water change and scrub all the tank decorations clean before putting them back in.

Did you rinse all decorations and gravel with hot water before putting them in the tank?

Is your gravel blue by any chance? If so, is it just coated with color that may be coming off? If so, I would replace the gravel with something else.

In any event, I would suggest a 100% water change/tank cleaning with rinsing everything with hot water (NO SOAP) and setting the tank back up. Remember your water treatment and to acclimate your Betta to the new tank conditions before putting him back in.

Hope it isn't a HUGE tank! :)

Do you ever clean it?! Those fizzy tabs are completely useless scams...
