Which of the 5-gallons at Walmart is Best for Bettas?

As the title suggests, I'm shopping around for a cheap 5-gallon tank, and the ones at Walmart are highly recommended in these forums... There's the 5-gal Hawkeye, which is about $25, and the 5-gal Tetra, which is about $45. They seem to come with the same things, but I was wondering which would be better for a betta? And why the prices were so different, too xD Also to keep in mind, I'm just used to critter carriers :) Looking for a relatively simple 5-gal, that is of pretty decent quality, too...

It depends on your taste.
The tetra is glass which means it resists scratches more easily and it lasts longer (acrylic has a tendance to slightly become cloudy with age). It comes in a traditional rectangular shape.
The Hawkeye is Acrylic which is stronger than glass (glass is more fragile and prone to break). It comes in a kind of hexagonal shape.

I have 3 Tetra Crescent 3 gallon tanks for my bettas and they love them. They are v easy to set up and the filter can be turned down low which is better for Bettas. I would highly recommend one of these tanks, there is only about a $10 difference between the 3 gallon & 5 gallon. They are made of acrylic and are rectangle which is more surface room for your fish.

Personally, I LOVE the Hawkeye 5 gallon tank. I have two of them and couldn't be happier!!!

I also have the Tetra 5 gal. tank (I think you must be looking at the kit that comes with a heater, otherwise the Tetra is about $27.00 or $29.00). This also is a nice tank, but I just like the shape of the Hawkeye better and it LOOKS bigger than 5 gallons.

The Hawkeye comes with everything you need except a heater AND it comes with a compact florescent light rather than an incandescent (which the Tetra comes with).

As far as scratching goes, if you get a scrubber MADE for acrylic and do NOT use paper towel, you're good to go, IMO/E!

OOPS - just looked at Wal-Mart and it looks like they only have the Tetra kit with the heater at this time. Sorry! :(
