Senor Feeesh is dying :(

I'm guessing he has the same infection the guppies had. Whatever it is, it kills really fast. He was stress stripey, pale, and a little bloated on Wednesday night. All day yesterday he kept the stripes but he ate a bloodworm and he was his normal active self. I kept a towel over him thinking it was some trauma from the water change on Wednesday morning. He kept coming to see me on the edge that wasn't covered by the towel. I checked his params again and they were fine (0/0/10). Last night he was active, swimming around and being cute.

This morning I woke up and found him on his side on the bottom, barely breathing. I'm going to replace everything that I have (siphon, bucket, nets, etc). He's in a breeders cup so he can get to the air better but he's barely there. I did a massive water change in case something got into the water but I doubt that's the case. It's too much like what happened with the guppies. I'm so sad.

Try getting some anti-bacterial medication or salt. You might be able to pull him around if he hasn't started pine coning.

I'm sorry he's sick. I really hope he makes it.

I have Maricyn Plus. Perhaps I'll dose the tank. If I'd known I would have given him Tetracycline food. I have it, it just came on so fast. :( He's still hanging on. I just came back from picking up 6 Endlers, a new net, siphon, and new frozen bloodworms (maybe they got a bad batch?)

My husband also thinks there might have been something in the water. I don't understand how it could have gotten over to Senor's tank from the 16 and no one else's. I use the same siphon for everyone but as far as water exchange goes, I have a water 'out' bucket and water 'in' plastic bottles. Senor is second in line for water changes and the 16 gallon is last. I'm confused. :(

I know, I was thinking the same thing. It made me wonder about our water and if it's possible to have something that goes through it like a wave, you know? Some people here have fish with the same symptoms that are dying the same way. It's like there's nothing visual and then they're dead.

So, do you guys think I should start giving Tango, Kilo, and Whiskey Tetracycline laced food? I mean, the trouble is by the time I know there's something wrong, it's too late. I know we're not supposed to med unless there's something wrong but what would you guys do? I can't give Huey flake food, obviously, but the other three would eat it.
