Exclamation HELP! Queenie died and ember might be sick!

I just saw queenie in the tank and i think she dies of bloat because she has been EXTREMELY fat no matter how long i fasted her for a LONG while and i saw her with her stomach wide open and rukia picking at her... (ew) And i looked at Ember (also VERY fat no matter how long i fast her) and one of her eyes looks cloudy!!!! Suki died from bloat and pinecone abouta month or two ago in the same tank..... i recently did a 20% water change and i think i added a little too much water conditioner because after that the water was a little bubbly where the filter pours out water (Like soap bubblish) for two days then cleared up. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give her a salt bath. have you tried feeding her some pea to help with the bloating?

If her eye is big and cloudy that's popeye, which is caused by poor and unstable water conditions. I think you need to QT all your females personally. :S

Size of tank, heated? Filtered? Anything else you can tell me? How many females? Any other signs on any of them? If your fish has popeye or even fungus Maracyn I covers that.

I cant QT all of them as my only suitable QT tank has phantom in it..... the tank is a 17 gallon heated and filtered and i do 30 percent water changes once every 2 or three weeks. (sometimes 20 but mostly 30) there are no signs on any other fish. The last time i got the water tested it had high nitrates and everything else was ok. since queenie is gone (r.i.p) i have 4 females now with 5 guppies, 1 dwarf platy and 1 old rainbow tetra.

Queenie: Extremely fat for no reason= dropsy
Ember: Cloudy eyes and extremely fat = popeye and dropsy
Suki: you call it bloat, but you said pinecone as well= dropsy
Rose: clamped fins? is she fat too?

Something tells me you should be doing water changes once a week if all your females are dying of dropsy and popeye :S In my opinion, that is what this sounds like. but your females have so many symptoms, and so many dying at the same time, I can only think of water quality being unsuitable for them. But I don't know since all your other fish are fine.
