Will the move stress them?

Elmo has a 6.5 gallon tank and he doesn't use it very much, he likes to stay at the bottom under the beer bottles or on top of the filter but he does blow bubblenests every week.

Clark Gable has a 4 gallon tank and I know he would prefer the 6.5 because he is quite an active little fish but he has never blown a bubblenest without a female in sight.

Anyway, they are both tailbiters and I was just wondering if the switch in tanks would be a bad idea? they could love their new homes but they may also get stressed and bite their tails again.

What do you guys think, good or bad?

You could just give them a treat they don't usually eat while doing the change, they will be excited about that and maybe less stressed. And use a little aquarium salt when you first switch them out. That could help too.

When I have to take Thai out of his aquarium to do a large water change, I will give him a bloodworm and he seems more happy about it, like he puts up with it, lol
He doesn't like being taken out of his home. I'll just put the bloodworm in front of what I use to take him out and scoop him out when he gets it.
