I think I'm in <3 with CTs.

I got 2 new Crowntails today. I'm horrible. I know. *sigh* Why can't I just avoid the bettas? I didn't think I liked crowntails before... mostly because I thought they looked kinda "messy", not like veil-tails. But man... ever since getting L'arc en Ciel, I can't seem to stay away from the CTs.

And so today, I finally caved, and got these 2:

This little fella grabbed my attention right away. In that icky blue betta water, he had looked a pale, shiny pink. In clear water... WOW, he looks even MORE gorgeous in my opinion!





He definitely needs an EPIC name! Anyone? Suggestions? I couldn't get a good picture of it, but he has a pitch black head and a TINY blotch of bright turquoise right above his upper lip. LOL. CUTE!

And the second fella I purchased today:





I absolutely fell in love with those bright red "mustaches" of his. LOL. That purple-ish cast to his colouring was completely hidden by the nasty blue water, so it was actually a wonderful surprise to discover once I got him home. This guy also needs a name. Anyone want to help?

And finally, gratuitous posting of L'arc en Ciel's pictures. Afterall, he's the one who started this CT craze for me! :)

Wow! Really nice bettas! The second one is a Red Copper, in case you didn't know. They both have really nice fins, especially the copper, and coloring. The first one is so cool!

Believe it or not... I got these 2 at PetSmart. 0_0 There are no PetCo's where I live, so I guess PetSmart has the largest selection, which is why I browse there so much. Generally speaking, all their fish are either red or blue, but I guess sometimes, due to sheer numbers, they're bound to get some interesting/gorgeous fish once in a while!

I LOVE the name "Amour"! Totally naming him that. Thanks! ^_^ One question though, what sort of colouring would he be, exactly?

Also, any name suggestions for the second CT? My brother was suggesting "Phobetor" (i.e. the bringer of pain!) LOL.

Sigh. I'm totally in LOVE! And now that I have 4 males in separate tanks, I can't wait to get a 20 Gallon to divide. I find myself totally loving the look of a divided tank ^_^
