Not Eating... Picky Fish?

Louie, my VT, used to gobble down his pellets when I fed them to him. As soon as they touched the water, they were in his mouth. For the past 3 days, he has swum up to them, looked at them, and swum away. I got him to chow on some bloodworms, which he did quite happily, but everytime he sees a pellet, he swims away. I'm confused, is there something I'm doing wrong? I know for a fact he sees his food, but he seems to be uninterested. I'm starting to get worried about him, but is he just picky, and doesn't like the food?

If he's been eating the pellets for the whole time you've had him, I wouldn't worry too much yet. It's good that he's eating bloodworms but I've heard cases where fish won't eat their pellets and owners are quick to give them bloodworms. The fish might like the BW better, and decide that they refuse to eat pellets, because they'll get the BW. Maybe fast him for a day or two, once he gets hungry enough he'll eat the pellets.

You could also try soaking the pellets in fresh garlic juice. :)
