Question betta hates pellets

When my I first got my betta I bought BettaMin Tropical Medley flakes and he loved them, after reading on this site that pellets are better I bought wardley Betta Food pellets, but he hates them... he will eat one spit it out and stop eating until I give him the flakes...is this healthy?

If you really want him to eat the pellets, fast him for a few days. He'll eat them when he gets hungry. (: You could try soaking them in fresh garlic juice, as well.

Fast him and then feed him. Be sure to soak the pellets in water before feeding him.

You may have to switch brands. Bettas can be very picky.

Mine was the same way, he refused to touch the wardley pellets I got him. So I went to Petco and got New Life Spectrum Betta Formula. I just fed him right now (after soaking the pellets for a little bit) and he absolutely loved them! I used a dropper and dropped them in one at a time (3 total, which by the way, is that a good amount for him? and should that be just once a day?). With the Wardley he either ignored them, or spit them out right away.

Well i would recommend only two a day because some bettas develop bloat and fast so just two a day! he will love them if they were dipped in garlic juice!

I am trying to feed my guy Hakari Betta Bio-Gold pellets (size is baby pellet?) but the package has to be the most annoying thing ever. How do you get just one or two pellets out without spilling the rest (like I did last night on the floor)?

Haha! that made me laugh.
Well you can open the entire cap and dab your finger in there and just get one at a time.
