Is it getting worse?

As most of you probably know My betta Alex has 2 tumors now. The larger one is now getting larger and more dis-colored than the other. It almost looks scratched up right now but I'm very sure that non of the items in the tank are doing that because I switched ALL of his plans to silk and have to clay pots and Betta log in his tank. It's turning a pale red/white-ish color. Is this a sign of it getting worse or is this just how tumors are? Sorry about posting so many threads about his tumor I guess I'm just super worried about him =/
