Sorry, bit off Topic. But TPF, sounds like you may have Helicobacter Pylori.

we thought this was a possibilty, so instead of doing the med pack that costs $400 with out insurance the doctor put me on a mega (RX) dose of Prilosec OTC with the hope of acid buildup calming down a bit for two weeks and then was going to possibley add in an antibotic.. I don't quite understand how it all works yet, but I need to call the dr. back anyhow and tell her I feel worse now than I did befor prilosec.

Yeah, that'll happen...Your doctor may be an idiot, and I swear by Peptobismol. I know that sounds completely insane...but it works.

I have HB, and I use it when it gets bad...Doesn't fix the ulcers though :/

Oh, just to let you know, I can take your fish if you don't want to ship them in winter since I'm within a reasonable driving distance. I don't want you to have to go through that either if I can help it--do you have heaters for them, or will I have to order a couple more if this ends up happening?

Adastra- Wallywestisthebest333 is possibly interested in one too. I would like to wait for that reply first before setting something up. If she is able to take one I will only have one left to adopt out.

I have two heaters but I was going to sell them with my remaining 2.5g tanks as a set, since I spent a lot of money setting them up. But, I guess I can sell everything but the heaters. The Bettas won't come with tanks in that case though.. I don't know... I feel awkward asking people on here to pay the $25.00 I would ask for each tank/accessories for doing ME a favor by adopting my fish, you know? I dunno how to go about it.

Yeah, if I have to take one or both I'll probably try to find homes for them myself, since I'm rather short on space, but at least I'm not short on time or energy. :) I have extra tanks, but all my heaters are currently in use, so if you could provide one in that case it would be appreciated, but I can always order a couple off of Foster & Smith Aquatics for $15 bucks each, just let me know in advance so they have enough time to get here beforehand. ;x

Have they checked your gallbladder, TPF? I went through similar symptoms some years back and was diagnosed with acid reflux, but it was really my gallbladder.

It also sounds similar to something a friend of mine has called gastroparesis, which is a paralyzed nerve in the stomach. Her stomach digests food very slowly and she can't eat raw vegetables and salad and stuff like that. She has stomach pain and nausea from it.
