Homemade Betta Stuff?

Anyone know any homemade betta stuff using regular houshold Items that takes less that 1hr? I am cleaning Lucky's tank today so...yeah. :D

Anywho, know anything?

I want the tank to look sorta like the bottom of a river that you would find in a forest. Lucky would look nice in there. :P

To a achieve that look you would be best off with driftwood, live plants (something grassy), and some gentle water movement. You can try sculpting stff with clay I suppose. People also say you can make caves with coconut shells.

I have a bunch of rocks in there. (LARGE rocks, not pebbles.)

Can I just get any old pice of wood from my back yard?

I wouldn't take outdoor wood - it could have come into contact with pesticides or other chemicals.

Besides, regular wood would quickly rot and pollute your water.

Coconut shells are fun to make, and only take around 30 minutes, the most an hour. They don't cost much either. Just crack one in half, scrape out the coconut inside and sand the edges down and the fuzzies on the outside. My bettas like them and have been going in and out of them and they make your tank look tropical. :D
Other things, you could glue (aquarium sealent!) colorful glass pebbles togeter to make a cave or an ornament, like a turtle or something. I had some blue and white ones that I thought of making a dolphin out of, but I ended up using them as little gyms in Autumns aruarium.
